• Volunteer as a Buddy Coach

ATTENTION FORMER ANGELS: Due to the volume of interest and our safety measures, AoS will not be able to accept AoS alumni (age 22 or older) or current AoS participants (current angels ages 5-22) as buddy coaches this season. This was a tough decision and one we did not take lightly. We are currently working on an alternate program so former AoS alumni can participate in the program in a leadership role. Please email us at info@angelsonstage.org if you are interested in participating in the leadership program and we will inform you when the program begins.

Our Name

Angels on Stage is named after Angel Ellenberger, who participated as an actress in The Jesters, where her sister & founder of Angels on Stage, DeAnna Pursai, was a college student volunteer.

Buddy Coach Program

An important part of the overall success of AoS is our Buddy Coach program. Our Buddy Coach program is volunteer program for typically developing peers elementary school aged to college have the work with our AoS actors and actresses.

Our Buddy Coaching Program is a fantastic & fun way to give students an introduction to coaching and mentoring our actors and actresses. Our experienced staff will provide guidance as Buddy Coaches assist with rehearsals, direction, lines, choreography and modeling for our AoS program while developing a friendship. We cannot stress the importance of the value this program brings to the actors and actresses involved.

Why become an AoS Buddy Coach?

• Great start if you want to eventually work in theatre or special needs field
• Count towards your community service or volunteer hours for school

AoS Buddy Coach Responsibilities:

• Volunteer and be available weekly on Saturdays Oct – Mar
• Sign in and log your volunteer hours
• Learn about children with special needs
• Assist actor/actress with songs, dances, games and activities
• Model movements and activities during rehearsal
• Build a relationship with your assigned actor/actress
• Connect with your actor/actress family
• Attend monthly appreciation lunches and trainings
• Participate in tech week and actual performance
• Smile and have FUN!

• Free monthly appreciation lunches and training workshops
• Safety and special training opportunities
• A special relationship with actors and staff
• Weekly credit for your volunteer hours
• An option for your high school community service requirement

Rehearsals:

• Weekly rehearsals are held Saturday mornings
• Begin rehearsal on Saturday, October 13th
• Cast A: 9:00 am – 10:30 am
• Cast B: 10:30 am – 12 pm
• You can volunteer for one cast or both
